As an editor and animator for Joburg Ballet, I collaborated closely with a dynamic creative and production team to craft a compelling video entry addressing the decline in attendance at ballet performances. Our innovative approach involved incorporating current news stories into bite-sized ballet performances, featuring Joburg Ballet dancers. By weaving these relevant narratives into our productions, we aimed to capture the attention of a broader audience and generate interest in ballet. Through strategic editing and animation, we succeeded in creating engaging content that resonated with viewers and sparked conversation about the importance of supporting the arts. This project was not only creatively fulfilling but also instrumental in raising awareness and revitalizing interest in ballet within the community.
